Born in 1988, Claire started ballet classes with Bertrande and Frédérique Portes, at Dance Academy of Rueil-Malmaison (France).

 

In 1998, she joined  The Paris Opera School under the direction of Claude Bessy, and she attended classes there for 3 years,  with Claudette Scouarnec, Janine Guitton et Pierette Mallarte.

 

In 2001, she went on training at The European Dance Center Paris with Jennifer Goubé, before to hit  The National Conservatory of Dance and Music of Paris ( CNSMDP) where she continued her professional path untill the Junior Ballet.

 

She won the 1rst Price of Classical Dance in 2005 and the 1rst Price of Interpretation in 2006.

 

During the Junior Ballet, she got the opportunity to dance pieces from Karole Armitage, Lionel Hoche ou Thierry Malandain.

She was also  involved in a documentary movie called "Un jour, je serai danseuse", produced by Julie Lojkine  for ARTE channel.

 

As soon as she finished the CNSMPD at the age of 18 in 2006, Claire started her professional career with Zurich Ballet under the direction of Heinz Spoerli, and  continued for 3 years with The Finish National Ballet.

It gave her the opportunity to dance Lead rôles in classical masterpieces ( « La Sylphide », « Etudes », « The Nutcracker », «The Lilas Fairy» in « Sleeping Beauty » ) and to work with famous choreographers like William Forsythe, Mats Ek, Jiri Kylian or Ohad Naharin.

 

In 2010, to complete her european career, she joined The Het Nationale Ballet in Amsterdam under the direction of Ted Bransen.

Beside the classical repertory, she stood out with a duet in the Bal scene in « Sylvia » of  J.Neumeier and Sidi Larbi  Cherkaoui  entrusted her a lead role in his creation « Labyrinth ».

 

Armed with this experience, she decided in 2011, to join the french choreographer Thierry Malandain, at the Malandain Ballet Biarritz. Her decision was made in line with her wish to get closer to the creative process and it has been 8 years now that she is dancing in France and abroad.

It gave her the opportunity to dance many pieces from Thierry such as « Boléro »,  «Magifique», « Roméo et Juliette » (a main role that she danced in 2014), the duet of « Mozart à 2 », « Amour sorcier », « Lucifer », « Estro », « Noctures », « Une Dernière Chanson » (Piece who won the « Grand Prix – Dance Category » from Syndicat de la Critique Théâtre, Musique et Danse en 2012).

 

In 2013, she danced the lead role of « The Fairy » in « Cinderella » piece for which, Thierry Malandain, got the « Price of the best Choreographer » at the Taglioni European Ballet Awards in Berlin, granted by Malakhov Fondation.

 

In 2015, she obtained her Teacher’s degree.

 

In December 2015, Claire danced the lead role of « The Beauty » in « The Beauty and the Beast ».

 

In January 2017, she performed the role of « La Colombe » in « Noé », creation who won the « Price of the Best Company ».

 

In March 2019, she will play the lead role of « Marie-Antoinette », in the new creation of Thierry Malandain « Marie-Antoinette » at the Opéra Royal of Versailles.
